AGSM receives "Ilinden" Prize

The Working Group of Slavic Minorities receives this year's Ilinden Prize because with their "commitment they have contributed to the improvement and dissemination of knowledge about the life, history, culture and preservation of the Macedonian national minority in Albania," according to the statement of the President of the Macedonian Association "Ilinden" - Tirana Nikola Gjurgjaj. 

"We would like to thank the Macedonian community from Albania for awarding the Ilinden Prize to AGSM. At the same time, we would also like to thank our member organization Ilinden Tirana for their active and dedicated work within our working community and within FUEN. We very much hope that we will soon be able to meet in person and celebrate the award together," said Angelika Mlinar, spokesperson for AGSM.

 

The Macedonian association "Ilinden" -Tirana has awarded this year's award, on the occasion of the twelfth anniversary of the founding and fruitful work of the association. Recognized and awarded are individuals and organizations for their special commitment to the preservation and promotion of the Macedonian national minority in the Republic of Albania. Also this year, several individuals were proposed to receive the award. Next to AGSM, the following individuals and organisations were also awarded with the "Ilinden" Prize:

-Macedonian Alliance for European Integration (IAEA) - Political Party of Macedonians in the Republic of Albania,

-Makartsev Maksim Maksimovich - Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Slavic Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences - Moscow, Russian Federation

-Edmond Osmani - Administrator of the Administrative Unit Trebishte Golo Brdo and Vice President of the Macedonian Alliance for European Integration. 

The letter of thanks and the award "Ilinden" will be given and handed over personally by the President of the Macedonian Association "Ilinden" -Tirana (once will be possible again).
