Grenzenlos Lesen (Reading without borders) - virtual festival of Burgenland literature

Festival feeling instead of webcam reading

Literature and the digital world are a symbiosis that takes getting used to. Instead of using webcams, GRENZENLOS LESEN had a new video concept created and NOVI GLAS was also allowed to publish the three parts.

The video series is based on the diverse components of a literature festival. Short excerpts from reading, current topics and the discussion about them. The concept is unique in its scope and in its focus on Burgenland. For the Lesekultur ohne Grenzen (Reading Culture Without Borders) association, it is important to make culture accessible to everyone, even in difficult times.

The first episode with Clemens Berger and Theodora Bauer was released on April 15th. Clemens Berger and Theodora Bauer treat the lives of immigrants to the USA in their novels "The President" and "Chicago". GRENZENLOS LESEN merge literary texts and conversations into a small work of video art.

In addition to the USA episode, the other two are about ethnic group literature and young poetry. Episode 2 will be released in mid-May.

The team behind the production consists of Laura Untner (moderation, concept), Konstantin Vlasich (direction, concept), Ralph Darabos (camera, editing), Felix Emmer (initiative) and Astrid Rothaug (animation).
