The 79th Hrvatski Bal / Croatian Ball in Vienna took place in Schönbrunn

21.01.2026

Around 1,300 guests, including a delegation from FUEN with President Olivia Schubert and Secretary General Eva Penzes, experienced the highlight of the Croatian ball season on Saturday. The 79th Croatian Ball at the Parkhotel Schönbrunn in Vienna, themed "Grad:isće," offered guests a diverse cultural and entertainment program in four ballrooms. Nine musical groups from Austria, Italy, Hungary, and Slovakia performed. Many thanks to the Croatian Center / Hrvatski centar in Vienna, a member of FUEN and AGSM, for such a fantastic event! Hvala!

This year's ball was dedicated to local roots, and the opening ceremony reflected this. It featured a unique choreography performed by the Kolo Slavuj Folklore Ensemble. The theme was conceived by Lidija Novak of the ball committee and Kolo Slavuj. "It's actually quite logical, but we hadn't previously considered bringing the city and Gradišće into the city," said chief organizer Petar Tyran.

FUEN and AGSM would like to thank the Croatian Center in Vienna, its president Gabriela Novak-Karall, Petar Tyran, and the entire ball team for the invitation and such a fantastic organization! Lipa Hvala!
