10 years of Macedonian Newspaper "Ilinden"

Exactly ten years ago, on March 1, 2011, the first issue of the Macedonian newspaper "Ilinden" was published as a double issue (March / April) as a bulletin of the Macedonian association "Ilinden"- Tirana. For the past ten years, the newspaper has aroused great interest among the Macedonian readers. Several bilingual town signs in Carinthia / Koroška smeared

During the night from Saturday to Sunday (January 17th, 2021) strangers smeared the bilingual town signs of Bleiburg / Pliberk. The Slovenian name “Pliberk” was made unrecognizable in black on two tablets. Angelika Mlinar, spokeswoman for the AGSM, condemns the act and calls for the case to be clarified quickly and the perpetrators to be punished.

On December 28th and 29th, two earthquakes with a magnitude of 5.2 and 6.4 struck central Croatia, killing seven people and injuring more than 20. Hundreds of homes were destroyed: in the middle of winter and during the holidays, families have become homeless.
