New "House of Minorities" in Burgenland / Gradišće

In Oberwart/Borta, the plans for the conversion of the former municipal boarding school were presented on Tuesday, where the “House of the Burgenland Ethnic Groups” is also to be built. The construction site will be set up in autumn 2023, and the minorities should be able to move into the house in 2025, reports ORF.

Chairman of the Council of Carinthian Slovenes (NSKS), Ambassador Valentin Inzko from Suetschach/ Sveče was awarded the Grand Decoration of Honor in Gold for services to the Republic of Austria on Tuesday in Vienna. Among other things, as High Representative, he played a key role in consolidating peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The AGSM and FUEN would like to congratulate him! Iskrene čestitke!

Terezija Stoisits was unanimously elected as the new chair of the Croatian Center in Vienna/Hrvatski centar u Beču. She succeeds Tibor Jugovits, who held this position for 15 years. Terezija Stoisits has been active in the Croatian center from the start, reports the ORF. The AGSM congratulates and looks forward to being a guest at the 25th Seminar of the Slavic Minorities in Vienna/Beč.

On Thursday, October 27th, 2022, the Slovenian translation of the AGSM brochure, which was made in cooperation between Carinthian Slovenes and Slovenes in Italy by two AGSM member organizations, SSO and NSKS, was presented in Gorizia/Gorica. AGSM coordinator Matic Germovšek Ž. also presented the AGSM film about the Carinthian Slovene minority to the audience.
