AGSM Meeting Bolzano/Bozen/Bulsan FUEN Congress 2025

From 23-26 October the 69. FUEN Congress took place in Bolzano / Bulsan / Bozen where also the AGSM held its regular working meeting. Dr. Hartmut Leipner, Lusatian Sorb, was elected as FUEN Vice-President on behalf of Slavic language group. Here you can see the photo gallery.

FUEN Condemns Police Operation at Peršmanhof/Peršmanova domačija in Carinthia/Koroška

FUEN condemns the police operation that took place on 27 July on the grounds of the Peršmanhof/Peršmanova domačija Museum in the municipality of Bad Eisenkappel/Železna Kapla (Carinthia/Koroška, Austria). The police conducted a multi-hour operation in the vicinity of an anti-fascist youth camp attended by around 60 young adults from Austria, Italy and Slovenia, many of whom belong to national minorities. The operation involved seven police vehicles, more than 30 officers, a helicopter, drones and a K9 unit. Three individuals were temporarily detained, and one person sustained minor injuries.

FUEN Congress 2025 to take place in Bozen/Bulsan/Bolzano

This autumn, Bozen/Bulsan/Bolzano in South Tyrol will become the meeting place for Europe’s minorities: From 23 to 26 October, we invite you to the 69th FUEN Annual Congress in the capital of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano – South Tyrol in northern Italy. Representatives of the autochthonous national minorities, nationalities and language groups from across Europe are expected to attend.

FUEN Season's Greetings

Another eventful year is coming to an end – a time to pause and reflect on what has been accomplished. Over the past twelve months, we have achieved so much together: the EUROPEADA in the German-Danish border region built bridges through sports and culture, our anniversary congress in Husum/Hüsem allowed us to celebrate FUEN’s 75th anniversary together with you, and numerous other initiatives and projects – both large and small – have further strengthened the diversity and rights of Europe’s minorities.
