The 28th Seminar of the FUEN Working Group of Slavic Minorities (AGSM) will be held from 20 to 23 November 2025 in Gorica/Gorizia, Italy. The event is organised by FUEN in cooperation with the local Slovenian minority organisations Svet Slovenskih Organizacij (SSO), Slovenska kulturno-gospodarska zveza (SKGZ) and Slovenska Skupnost (SSk), bringing together representatives of Slavic minorities from across Europe.

FUEN Assembly of Delegates elects new leadership – Olivia Schubert becomes new President

The third day of the 69th FUEN Congress in Bozen / Bulsan / Bolzano was dedicated to the second part of the Assembly of Delegates, the organisation’s highest decision-making body. The session focused on the election of FUEN’s new leadership and on key decisions shaping the organisation’s direction for the next term.

Witaj als Zukunftsgruß: Sorben rücken in den Fokus des Lausitz Monitors

Im Haus der Sorben wurden die aktuellen Ergebnisse des Lausitz Monitors vorgestellt – erstmals mit einem besonderen Fokus auf das sorbische Volk. Rund 50 Interessierte, vor Ort und online, verfolgten die Präsentation von Dr. Jörg Heidig (Prozesspsychologe). Die Resultate zeichnen ein ambivalentes Bild: Zwar herrscht insgesamt eine leicht optimistische Grundstimmung, zugleich bleibt der Bedarf an tiefgreifendem Strukturwandel so hoch wie nie seit Beginn der Erhebungen.

FUEN Condemns Police Operation at Peršmanhof/Peršmanova domačija in Carinthia/Koroška

FUEN condemns the police operation that took place on 27 July on the grounds of the Peršmanhof/Peršmanova domačija Museum in the municipality of Bad Eisenkappel/Železna Kapla (Carinthia/Koroška, Austria). The police conducted a multi-hour operation in the vicinity of an anti-fascist youth camp attended by around 60 young adults from Austria, Italy and Slovenia, many of whom belong to national minorities. The operation involved seven police vehicles, more than 30 officers, a helicopter, drones and a K9 unit. Three individuals were temporarily detained, and one person sustained minor injuries.
